Eleanor Lucille Rood Burton
February 3, 1931 - December 10, 2018
Eleanor (87) of Pinellas Park passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018, in Largo, Florida.
Eleanor is survived by her four children Faith (Brian) Worley of Safety Harbor, Joy (Larry) Hunley of St. Petersburg, Hope (Walt) Kuenzler of Largo, and Paul (Margaret) Burton of St. Petersburg. She leaves behind eight grandchildren Adam Worley, Johnathan Burton, Melissa Wollam, Jeremy Burton, Larry Hunley, Jr., Brooke Mims, Kristopher Kuenzler, Morgan Kovach and nine great grandchildren.
She is survived by two brothers, Raymond Rood and Donald Rood of Frostproof, FL and one sister, Reva Boulier of China, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents George and Gladys Rood and granddaughter, Amy Worley.
Eleanor was born and raised in St. Clair MI. She attended and graduated from Ozark Bible Institute in Ozark, Arkansas where she met and later married, Raymond Burton. Eleanor lived in several states including California, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, Arkansas and Florida. In addition to raising her family she was a retired bookkeeper.
Eleanor loved the Lord, her family, and art. She was a creative soul and avid watercolorist who loved color and saw everything through her eyes as an artist. She is loved dearly and will be missed by her family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Graveside Services will be held on Monday, December 17, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at Royal Palm North Cemetery, 2600 Gandy Boulevard North, St. Petersburg, FL, 33702. Pastor John W. Brent Stancil, Sr. of Community Bible Baptist Church of Pinellas Park, FL will be officiating.
