BONNINGTON, Alexander "Doug", 87 of Clearwater Beach, died Jan. 24, 2013. He came to Belleair Bluffs, from Cincinatti, OH in 1993, having retired after 37 years with Ashland Oil Company's Valvoline Oil Division. He moved to Clearwater Beach in 2002. Born in Modesto, CA, he is a graduate of Marshall University in Huntington, WV, and served during World War II as a U.S. Army Air Force bombardier. He was preceded in death by his son, Craig. Survived by his wife, Rosemarie (Swisshelm) Bonnington of Clearwater Beach. A Memorial Service will be held at the Chapel-By-The-Sea, 54 Bay Esplanade, Clearwater Beach, at 2 pm, Feb. 2. He was a member and Past President of the Rotary Club of Clearwater Beach and a "Paul Harris Fellow." Donations may be made to the Rotary Club of Clearwater Beach, Charities Account.
