Catherine (Allen) Stephens

Catherine (Cassie) Marie Stephens, of Clearwater, Florida, entered Heaven’s gates on March 2, 2019.  She was born to the late Charles J. and Mabel Allen in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on August 5, 1940. Cassie was predeceased by her loving husband of 55 years, Joseph Evan Stephens Senior.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, homemaker, friend, and Nurse.  Cassie was a great cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends, most especially at a time of need.  For many years leading up to her passing, she collected a large library of cookbooks.  She loved to watch reality TV shows and soap operas.  She was a very giving person and never wanted to see anyone suffer or without.  This included her undeniable love for cats.

Cassie graduated from the Florida Junior College at Jacksonville with the class of 1981.  She lovingly cared for patients while nursing in Virginia. 

Cassie is survived by her two sons Joseph (Joe Junior) and his wife Alicia; and, Charles (Charlie) and his wife GayLynn.  She is also survived by two grandsons, Brian and Tyler. She had two great-grandsons, Dreyden and Tristan.

A private service celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at her home.
