Dorothy “Peaches” left this world on Tuesday April 26th 2016 to be with the lord in heaven. She was born in Rochester, NY on November 13th 1946 proceeded in death by parents Robert Jackson, Dorothy Jackson (Schroeder), and brother Bobby Jackson.
Dorothy leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her beloved husband of 47 years James D. Meader. Her children Tamara (Donnie) Murphy of Brandon, Fl., David Meader of Clearwater, Kelly Meader O’Neil of Oldsmar, Mindy Meader of Clearwater and Ryan Meader of Clearwater. Grandchildren Sarah Vertucci of Brandon, Fl., Emilee Murphy of Brandon, Fl., Cody and Alexis Meader of Clearwater, Beth Swanger of Mulberry, Fl., Dustin Murphy of Keysville, Fl. Great-Grandchildren Keonna, Zoey, and Mason. Sisters Liz Hatch, Eva Jackson. Brothers Bruce, Kenny and Roy Jackson and numerous other relatives.
Dorothy had been retired from Pinellas County Schools for 2 years after being employed for 28 years working with special needs children. Dorothy had a very kind and gentle soul; she had a loving and generous heart and was always giving to others. She has truly touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity. She will truly be missed by many. May her body, heart, and soul rest in peace.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday May 4th, 2016 at Light of Christ Catholic Church located at 2176 Marilyn St., Clearwater, FL. 33765. Visitation will be from 11am-12pm, Mass service will be from 12pm-1pm followed by a procession to her final resting place at Chapel Hill Memorial Park located at 12905 Wild Acres Rd, Largo, FL. 33773.
