View Sign MASLOWSKI, Elba I. of Clearwater, passed away peacefully at Suncoast Hospice Sept. 24, 2013, at age 94. She was born in Maricao, Puerto Rico on April 13, 1919. She was married in Puerto Rico in 1940 to West Point Graduate, "Monk" Maslowski, who predeceased her in 2001. She traveled the world as an Army wife & mother, & worked as a Red Cross "Gray Lady" for many years. Elba and Monk settled into retirement on Island Estates in Clearwater. She was active in her church at Saint Brendons and an avid bridge player. Elba was a loving wife, adoring mother, gracious hostess and best friend; she will be missed by many. She leaves her daughters, Mimi Nun and Sally Salisbury of Alexandria, VA; and sons, Stanley and Walter of Clearwater; her sister, Ada Martinez of Tacoma, WA; four grandchildren; and four great-gran-dchildren. Her remains will be interred with her husband in Arlington National Cemetery in the near future.
