Esther Ferguson Obituary

Esther Marie Ferguson, 83, of West Plains, Missouri, passed away on February 10, 2026, at 8:28 p.m at West Vue Nursing Home having been surrounded by family and loved one's. She was born on May 8, 1942, in Anniston, Alabama. Esther lived most of her adult life in Pinellas County, FL and considered it her home. She will be laid to rest in St. Petersburg.

Esther lived a life defined by resilience. Growing up in foster homes, she picked cotton as a young girl and learned early on how to survive through grit and determination. These early hardships shaped her into a strong, independent woman who was never afraid of hard work.

Throughout her life, Esther met every challenge head-on. She worked as a waitress and managed bowling alleys and ended her working career as a claim specialist before retiring from Allstate Insurance.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ferguson. Her family finds comfort in knowing they are now reunited in Heaven with their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Esther is survived by her four children: Pam Leary, Don Ferguson Jr., Kristal Pagen, and Stacey Salvati, as well as several siblings and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will continue to carry her memory forward.

Esther’s life was a testament to perseverance. She overcame adversity, worked tirelessly, and built a legacy of strength that will not be forgotten. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
