Julia Fitzmaurice

Julia Fitzmaurice, of Clearwater Beach, Florida, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 24, 2018.  She was 84 years old.

Julia was born on December 25, 1933 to Thomas and Elizabeth Beirne and spent her childhood in Bronx, NY.  In 1955, Julia married her best friend, William Fitzmaurice, and began her life’s journey as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother - blessed with 6 children, 13 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. 

A lifelong and devout Catholic, Julia was an active member of each parish she resided in throughout her lifetime– most recently St. Brendan’s Parish in Clearwater Beach. 

Julia’s memory will be forever cherished by her children: Mary Beth Colleran and her husband Thomas, of West Haven, Connecticut, Julia Scaduto and her husband John, of Tampa, Florida, William Fitzmaurice and his wife Karen, of Surfside Beach, SC, Thomas Fitzmaurice and his wife Carolyn, of East Haddam, CT, Patrick Fitzmaurice and his wife Donna, of Atlanta, Georgia, and Maura Musso and her husband Andy, of New Paltz, NY; grandchildren: Kevin Colleran and his wife Devin, Michael Colleran, Eric Colleran, John Scaduto and his wife Meaghan, Amy Scaduto, Daniel Fitzmaurice and his wife Sarah, Timothy Fitzmaurice and his wife Tory, Jenny Fitzmaurice and her husband Stephen, Paul Fitzmaurice and his wife Samantha, Megan Fitzmaurice, Patrick Fitzmaurice, Samantha Musso, and Zachary Musso: and great grandchildren: Jude Fitzmaurice, Mable Fitzmaurice, Lena Scaduto, Cora Scaduto, Lily Scaduto, and Kyla Fitzmaurice.

Julia was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, William Fitzmaurice.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Julia will be held on Saturday, April 28 at 10:00am at St. Brendan's Catholic Church 245 Dory Passage Clearwater.
