Karen J. Day
Age 54, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2013 surrounded by family.
Karen was born and grew up in Waltham, MA. She graduated from the University of Tampa in Tampa, FL, cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in business management. She spent the next thirty years in the insurance industry specializing in litigation cases, working for a number of well-known companies including Colonial Penn, General Electric and most recently Farmers Insurance Company.
Karen had a quick wit, was adventurous and loved dancing, snow skiing, working out, running, reading, crossword puzzles and pesto.
She participated in the annual race for the cure events, and was a twelve year cancer survivor.
She was a thirty year member of Incarnation Catholic Church in Tampa.
To her family and friends, she will be remembered first and foremost as a loving and devoted mother, with a quick smile, and a gentle touch and a kind word for all.
She is survived by her fiancé, Norman Nash of Seminole, her daughter, Nicole Speropulos of Tampa, her son Ryan Speroupulos of Tampa, her parents Jean and John Day of Clearwater, her sister, Kim Day of Clearwater, her brother Christopher Day of Duxbury, MA, aunts, uncles, nieces and many cousins.
