Leona Mae (Lamb) Youngblood was born on September 1, 1935 in Marion, Illinois and was the only child of Charles and Ruby Kimmel. She passed away suddenly at her residence on July 31st, 2017. Leona enjoyed spending time with friends, going to church, listening to gospel music, watching game shows, and most of all spending time with family.

 

Leona is survived by her son Gary Lamb and daughter in law Noreen along with four grandchildren, Hailey Leona, Sarah Noreen, Moriah Grace and Norah Bethany. Leona is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Lamb and son, Stephen Lamb.

All children are welcome. Moriah and Norah will be in attendance at the funeral. It is important that children old enough to understand death also should understand the purpose of a funeral and be allowed to ask questions and to work through their understanding and grief. Funerals force all in attendance to admit their mortality, including their eventual death and judgment and is a time to support those that are grieving and a time to share the Gospel.
