Our high-spirited Marnie has passed away in her 98th year in St. Petersburg, Florida leaving the world a little less bright.
She grew up in Ilderton, Ontario and after training as a nurse in Toronto, she worked for several year in Canada before heading to the U.S. where she spent the majority of her life. She loved fine dining, shopping, travel, her mink coat and attractive men. Marnie loved life! Her zest was evident in a nursing career that spanned over 60 years and took her throughout the U.S., always returning to St. Pete.
Marnie was predeceased by husband Duncan, her true love in 1955, and her sister Jean in 1993.She leaves behind a sister, Joy, in Vancoucer B.C. and a brother, Doug ( Jacki), in London, Ontario. Marnie will be lovingly remembered by nieces; Kellie, Patty, Jane, Gina, Carol and by nephews William and Dan. Also loved and spoiled by Great Aunt Marnie were numerous great and great great nieces and nephews.
Many thanks to the kindness of Father Ralph, Carol and JoBeth , whose commitment went above and beyond. It was s o very appreciated by her and her family in these trying times.
Let's all raise a glass to her, she made our live special just by being herself !
