Marion Franks

Franks, Marion Jean, of Belleair, passed away Feb. 2, 2010. She is survived by  nephew: Steven Kropp,  nieces: Diane Hantos, & Debra Gisbert, and 1 great niece: Elaine Gisbert and her loving friends Michael & Barbara Quintin. She moved to Florida in 1956 from Charleton Heights, WV. She is a member of St. Cecelia’s Catholic Church. She taught math at Clearwater High School since 1956. She is a member of North Pinellas County Retired Educators Assoc., Kappa Delta Pi (current president), Delta Kappa Gamma Honorary Society, local chapter- Delta Alpha (past president), American Assoc. of University Women, National Assoc. of Parlmentarians, Life Funded member Ruth Eckerd Hall & Leading Ladies. Active in Abilities Guild, Member of Pinellas County & Clearwater historical societies, and a member of Belleair Country Club. She had a Bachelors Degree from West Virginia Institute of Technology for Math & English, Masters from West Virginia University for Guidance, and Doctoral in Guidance & Statistics from University of Georgia. Visitation Thurs. 6-8 p.m.
